Free Open Clinic Day

Join me live on 17th September

On 17th September, I’m opening one of my live Academy sessions to everyone!

Join me for a free, interactive webinar exploring some of the realities of being a therapist, from confidence and self doubt to looking after yourself, continuing to learn and navigating the things that only really become clear through practice.

I’ll share some of my own experiences from more than 30 years in the treatment room, and there will be plenty of time for your questions, experiences and perspectives too.

The conversations therapists
don’t have often enough

Beata talks with Olivia about exhaustion, self-doubt and the loneliness that can come with a people-focused profession, and why she is opening the Academy for one evening.

What we’ll talk about

I want this session to be shaped by the people who join us.

We’ll begin by talking about some of the things many therapists experience but do not always have the space to discuss openly, including:

Confidence and uncertainty in practice

Those moments when you question yourself, even when you have experience behind you.

Looking after yourself while supporting clients

The emotional and physical demands of the work, and how we keep enough space for ourselves too.

Continuing to learn after formal training

Why qualifying is not the end of our development, and how we keep growing through practice, reflection and conversation.

There will also be plenty of time to ask questions, share your own experiences or simply listen to the conversation.

Being a Better Therapist Begins with Self-Compassion

Why I’m openingthe session

I’ve been practising for more than 30 years and I’m still learning.

I’ve experienced how fulfilling this profession can be, but also the moments of uncertainty, exhaustion and isolation that can come with it.

For me, becoming a better therapist has never been about having every answer. It is about staying curious, looking after yourself and continuing to learn.

That is one of the reasons I created The Academy, and for this session I wanted to open that conversation to everyone.

What to expect on the evening

We’ll start together, I’ll share some of my own experiences, and then I want to hear from you.

You can ask questions, respond in the chat, join the conversation or simply listen.

Towards the end, I’ll also share a little more about why I created
The Academy and how we are building a place for therapists to continue
learning and supporting one another beyond formal training.

Who is it for?

You are very welcome whether you are:

A practising therapist

Recently qualified

Currently training

Considering a career as a therapist

You do not need to prepare anything and there is no expectation to speak. Come with a question,
an experience you would like to share, or simply come to listen.

Bring a question

When you register, you can also tell me if there is something you would particularly like us to talk about.

It could be something you are unsure about in your practice, something you havefound challenging, or simply something you would value another therapist’s perspective on.

I’ll use these questions to help shape our conversation.

Join us

I believe this can be a useful, open and
supportive evening together.

If that sounds like something you would value,
I’d love you to join us.
